Narnia é uma banda sueca, que lançou o seu primeiro álbum Awakening, em1998, graças aos esforços de dois talentos músicos: Christian Liljegren eCarljohan Grimmark. Eu conhecí esta banda, através de um amigo evangélico, aliás, Narnia é uma banda de Extreme Christian Metal. Normalmente, eu não ouço esse tipo de som, mas esta me chamou a atenção pela qualidade das músicas, com uma grande presença de riffs e solos excelentes, além das viradas constantes da bateria. Pra quem nunca ouviu, vale a pena conferir, pois eles não perdem nada para nenhuma banda tradicional de Power Metal. Pra terminar, uma curiosidade: o álbum Awakening, já citado acima, contou apenas com presença da dupla de músicos também já citada acima. Naquela época, Narnia ainda não era uma banda! Para se ter uma idéia, Carljohan Grimmark gravou todas (isso mesmo todas!) as partes instrumentais (pra quem duvida, é só conferir o encarte, que está incluído no link do álbum). Analisando mais isto, Awakening e principalmente Carljohan, merecem todo o nosso respeito e admiração!Em 2009, uma surpresa agradável surgiu quando a banda anunciou seu novo vocalista:Germán Pascual, que nasceu no Uruguai, mas morou um bom tempo no Brasil. O cara inclusive fala português! Para conferir o talento deste "Brasiguaio" basta ouvir o novo álbum do conjunto, o excelente Course Of A Generation.
